Welcome to Digital Drake! Who is Digital Drake and what is the Digital Drake website all about?

My name is R. Jerome Harris and by profession I am an Information Technology Specialist, Network Administrator, Instructional Systems Developer (ISD), Web Developer, Technical Instructor, and Internet Marketing Consultant.

I have traveled much of the world and have taught and lectured; inspired and have been inspired; in many lands such as Thailand, Panama, The Republic of the Philippines, Greece, Sri Lanka, Mongolia, Morocco, Africa, Iceland, Honduras as well as across the United States.

I have 20 years of United States Air Force experience as a Master Instructor and course developer. I have taught well over 2,000 recruiters the art of passive candidate mining via the web. I was the previous lead instructor and trainer of a large and well known U.S. Federal Agency and was tasked to train Federal employees domestic and abroad in Internet technologies.

My interests are in developing online business, Internet marketing, training, social media, Web 2.0, and personal development. I enjoy experimenting with new technology and applying it to practical real life applications. I currently spend my spare time mentoring and coaching business professionals on how to become recognized experts in their field of work.

Digital Drake is all about really helping you and educating you. It is about sharing with you my life’s experiences to include Information Technology, Internet Marketing, and Computing.

Times have changed. The name of the game is called survival. Given record breaking job layoffs; the housing crunch; the high cost of fuel; recession; and, the anxieties of everyday living, we all can use all the help we can get.

The Internet, at the present time, is what I call a Virtual Last Frontier. It can be mined to extract a decent monthly income.

I have a full time, well paying job; but I know nothing is certain. None of us can afford to rely on and put our full trust in employers to take care of us and our families; that is our responsibility. We must wean ourselves off of the "dependency" and 'entitlement" mentalities that employers are supposed to take care of us. Most employers are into profit, not personnel.

I have been earning a decent Internet income since 1996 and I can say that if I lost my job tomorrow, I will be able to survive. That is the name of the game in today’s world: Survival.

It is not about amassing riches to own expensive houses, cars, or boats. That kind of thinking will get you in trouble. Many Internet Marketers dazzle you and get your attention with the prospect of getting rich. While this is certainly possible, it is not a very realistic mindset to have. It is more reasonable to think along the lines of survival: having car that runs, and is paid for; having a home that you and you family and go to; having money in the bank to take a vacation; having additional funds to supplement a current income that could pay rent, a mortgage, a car note; groceries, a utility bill; money to send your children to college; and having enough set aside to help family and friends in need.

That is what I and this website is all about. It's about keeping it real. Leading and directing in a truthful way. It's about integrity. It is about learning how to make money online with a view to surviving in these turbulent times; not necessarily to get rich.

So my dear readers, a good place to start would be to look over at the left and right side bars and look at the topics. If you are looking to get started online to set up a website and to generate income from it, then start here.

Have fun and enjoy your stay !!!

I am Digital Drake.
