Plato DVD Copy claims that it can copy a DVD movie in less than 30 minutes without loss in quality; a bold claim. Well, lets see.
I downloaded a trial version of the software that would allow me to use it three times.
Installation was quick and easy.
I inserted my original DVD movie, selected/deselected the options I wanted or did not want, and clicked the start button.
After 9 minutes, I was prompted to remove the original DVD movie and to insert a blank DVD. After 10 minutes, I had full working backup of my original DVD movie that looked and sounded great.
So, the entire process took 19 minutes! I was very impressed.
I know that DVD copy speeds depend on not only the burning engine within the software, but external factors as well such as:
- Processing power of your PC
- Amount of RAM
- Length of DVD movie
So your results vary.
I give Plato DVD Copy two thumbs up.
Here is a video showing what I did.
